Privacy Policy and Terms of Use

A school’s data belongs to the students, the families and the school itself. Here we explain, with no small print, what the Escola360 Platform does with it and what it never does.

Updated on 9 October 2026 Law of the Republic of Mozambique Reading time: 6 minutes

Only what is needed

We collect only the data a school needs to operate and the data you send us so we can answer your request.

The school decides

The school is the data controller. We are the tool that carries out the processing securely.

Controlled access

Each person sees only what their profile allows, with personal credentials.

Your rights

You can ask the school for access to, correction of or erasure of your data.

1Scope and acceptance

This policy governs access, use and the processing of data in connection with the Escola360 Platform, a school management system provided as a service (SaaS) by Modern Solutions 360, Lda (NUIT 402183497), with its registered office at Avenida Vladimir Lenine, no. 2236, Bairro da Coop, Maputo, Mozambique. The platform supports educational institutions in school management, institutional communication and the monitoring of students’ academic progress.

By accessing, installing or using the Escola360 Platform, the user declares that they have read, understood and accept these terms, including the conditions for the processing of personal data. Continued use implies acceptance of the provisions set out here.

2Who is who

The platform is contracted by schools, which are the main users of the service and are responsible for its adoption, configuration, access management and use in the context of their academic, administrative and financial activities.

Parents and guardians, students, teachers and staff access the platform as users authorised by the school. As a rule, they are not a direct party to the contract: their access depends on the relationship between the school and Modern Solutions 360.

The platform does not replace the formal administrative processes of the educational institution. It is a digital tool that supports management and decision-making.

3Access and credentials

Access is granted through the authentication mechanisms defined by the school, which may include the student number, the date of birth or other credentials. The school is responsible for assigning, validating and managing these credentials and for defining the access levels of each profile.

The user undertakes to keep their access details confidential, not to share them with third parties and not to allow their account to be misused.

4Responsible use

The user undertakes to act responsibly, ethically and in accordance with the law, and to refrain from using the platform for purposes that are unlawful, fraudulent or offensive, or that compromise the integrity of the system, the data or other users. Attempts at unauthorised access, manipulation of information or abusive use may lead to the immediate suspension of access, without prejudice to legal liability.

5Features and communication

The features available vary with each school’s configuration and may include: viewing marks and assessments, absences and incidents, the status of tuition fees, communication with the school, teacher evaluation, complaints and suggestions, and extracurricular activities.

The platform’s communication channels are intended exclusively for educational and institutional purposes. The school may monitor, audit or intervene in communications whenever necessary to comply with its internal rules and to protect those involved, in particular minors.

6Financial information

The platform shows the status of tuition fees, including payments made, outstanding periods and pending items. This information depends on the accuracy of the data entered by the school. Where the school enables electronic payments (for example M-Pesa or e-Mola), the transaction is processed by the respective operator, under the terms of that service; Escola360 does not store PINs or mobile wallet credentials.

7Personal data protection

As part of the service, the Escola360 Platform processes personal and academic data on behalf of the school, which is the data controller. Modern Solutions 360 adopts appropriate technical and organisational measures to ensure the confidentiality, integrity and availability of the information.

The data processed may include:

  • identification of the student, the parent or guardian and school staff;
  • academic data, assessments, attendance and incidents;
  • financial data relating to tuition fees and payments;
  • contact details and interactions on the platform.

This data is used exclusively for school management, institutional communication, educational monitoring and the improvement of the service. It is not sold or shared for commercial purposes. It may only be shared to comply with legal obligations, at the request of competent authorities or as part of integrations authorised by the school.

The data is held on infrastructure protected against unauthorised access, loss, alteration or improper disclosure. No system is entirely immune to risk, so the user also undertakes to use the platform prudently.

8Data collected on this website

This website (escola360.co.mz) is separate from the platform used by schools. Here we collect only:

  • The data you send us in the contact form (name, role, school, number of students, phone and email), used only to respond to your request and prepare the demo;
  • Aggregated browsing data, through analytics tools such as Google Analytics, to understand which pages are useful. You can block these cookies in your browser settings.
  • Campaign measurement, through the Meta pixel (Facebook and Instagram), to learn which posts and ads lead to demo requests. When you submit the form, the request is reported to Meta in hashed form, without the content of your message. You can block these cookies in your browser settings.

We do not use this data for any other purpose.

9Your rights

Data subjects may request access to, rectification, updating or erasure of their personal data. On the platform, the request is made to the school, which is the data controller and forwards it where necessary. For data collected on this website, simply write to us using the contact details given below.

Processing complies with the legislation of the Republic of Mozambique, including the Electronic Transactions Law (Law no. 3/2017), and with international good practice in data protection and privacy.

10Service availability

We work to ensure high levels of availability and performance. Temporary interruptions may occur because of maintenance, updates or external factors, so an uninterrupted service cannot be guaranteed.

11Intellectual property

The design, structure, features, code and content of the Escola360 Platform are protected intellectual property. Their use, reproduction or distribution without express authorisation is prohibited.

12Changes and governing law

These terms may be revised whenever legal, technical or operational changes so require. Changes take effect on publication on this page, and the date at the top shows the latest revision.

These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Mozambique, and the Mozambican courts have jurisdiction to settle any dispute.

Escola360 is a product of the MS360 platform, developed by Modern Solutions 360, Lda, a Mozambican consulting firm headquartered in Maputo, with experience implementing information systems in several African countries. We know the calendar of the National Education System, the requirements of the Tax Authority and what a school office looks like in enrolment season, because we have been on the ground with schools since 2016.

  • Consulting method Every implementation follows a phased plan, with the school leadership signing off each stage.
